Santa Barbara A Rocha (SBAR) provides a unique way to engage the local community by delivering upon the five foundational principals of A Rocha:
Christian: SBAR team members are motivated to respond to God’s call for creation care and helping the poor.
Conservation: SBAR’s initiatives address stewardship issues while raising awareness both within and outside of the church.
Community members of SBAR live within the area where the initiatives are located and are vested in their success.
Cooperation though collaborative partnerships SBAR is poised to develop into a mature community based group.
Cross-Cultural initiatives work to bridge the socio-economic divide that exists within our community.
Our projects incorporate a focus upon conservation, education, and justice, each theme playing a more central role within a given project.
